Dji Phantom 4 (the everyone's drone)

Image
the review  The drone takes off, hovering a few feet off the ground. I guide it up to about 12 feet with the throttle on the remote control. Then my three year old son takes over. He taps the screen on an iPad running our piloting app. The drone, a DJI Phantom 4, begins to ascend, heading towards an abandoned grainery. My son happily taps away at the screen, shifting the drone here and there. You wouldn’t notice how frantically he’s tapping from the footage he captured, which is buttery smooth. Eventually he taps on tree. The Phantom 4 cruises towards it, adjusting slightly to avoid the obstacle. The end result is a dramatic shot, with the drone splitting the difference between two trees, sunset shining on their outstretched branches, passing far closer than I would have felt comfortable with if I was the one in control. Before the Phantom 4, the best a camera drone could offer was the ability to follow your GPS signal. It works well enough, but has serious limitations. I...

The PlayStation 4 Pro is essentially a PS4 with better hardware inside that's designed to improve the performance and visuals beyond what's currently possible on a standard PS4. Not every PS4 game can take advantage of the Pro, but it will play any PS4 game you throw at it. A regular PS4 game will need a downloadable patch to support the PS4 Pro's upgrades, but it's still unclear what exactly each patch will provide. For any given title, a Pro update will bring some or all of the following enhancements: better frame rates, higher output resolution, better textures and HDR support. That latter feature, however, is also available on the non-Pro PS4 consoles  following a September software update . Judging from the updates we've seen so far, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason in regard to which games get what. Only a small number of games with Pro patches were live for us before review time, but Sony promises that 30-plus games will have Pro patches ...

Xbox One X

We saw the most powerful console in the world in action, and it's impressive Here's what Microsoft wants you to think about the Xbox One X: "The best games of the year will be even more outstanding on this console." While the most powerful console in the world has a perfect graphics card and processor to fulfill this promise, I can not promise that there will be games as soon as it is released. From Crackdown 3 to Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, we've seen a lot of great titles for Xbox One X. Alas, most are scheduled for 2018, and many releases this year do not promise to be optimized for Xbox One X, with 4K, HDR and everything else. Seeing what the development model of the One X gives in action, I have no doubt as to its capabilities. Forza Motorsport 7 is the most beautiful game I've ever seen on console, and it exceeds all you could have played on PlayStation 4 Pro. How to describe the Xbox One X? It is complicated.
